Lyon with Louis and Jenny

Goodnight, Lyon.

You might wonder why Louis is carrying skis in the middle of the city, no snow in sight. We lucked out and happened on a great ski sale and these are Sagey's 130s for next year!

The Alliance Francaise where Lily will study this summer!!!!!!

Lyon is one of those old European cities where somehow the light is just magical....the size and shape of the buildings, the angles, the colors of the facades, and something you just define....

We tried out a few of the city's "Montees"....they earn their name.

On top of the old city.

Sagey has been fascinated with the idea of a "5 star hotel" and we happened by one! Last year she told me that she felt like the 2 star hotel we stayed in was really more like a 4 star probably.....

Taking a break for lunch.

Paserelle over the SaƓne river

We prepared for our day trip by eating a hearty breakfast....

Coeur d'artichaut and coeur de brebis (fromage!), our sandwiches were full of heart. (They always are). The kids chose the ingredients at the marche in the morning.
