Villard de Lans - New York
We chose 19 October, date of the monumental general strike in France to make the journey to New York. We also used many forms of public transport, just to throw caution to the wind.
The kids actually did amazingly well, thanks to our constant eating and the personal in-flight movies and video games, and the fact that we had a row of 4 for the three of us (thank you sympathetic AirFrance agent). It literally took almost 20 hours door to door, Silas did not sleep a wink. Sagey napped on the plane contentedly, a nap that last after landing in New York, where I carried her off the plane.
Always been the perfect traveler
Watching 5th movie of the day, eating 17th meal of the day
Moving in......
Overpriced panini in CDG
Ever-present Biggie, Jazzy was more discretely tucked into Silas' bag....
Plane #1, one of a greatly reduced domestic flight schedule due to the general strike.
Navette Grenoble-Geneve, 2nd mode of transport of the day. Thankfully still running despite the strike....
Packing chaos
Had to use up our apples before we left, so I made some mini tarts
Looking into our cozy home, one of my favorite views of the place, Silas is in the window...
