After the playground, we visited Glenn Abbey. Silas and Sagey made drawings for Papa and Colette. We had recently recoverd Big Hadee from Dollar Rental Car, where she had been captured and held hostage for 3 days and 2 sleepless nights, so she came with us to Glenn Abbey.

We visited Claire and Allan in Bonita and had a delicious lunch together. Claire and Allan were wonderful hosts. They were both so excited to PLAY with the kids. It's such a pleasure to hang out with people who actually want to entertain my kids! Silas and Sagey were equally thrilled to spend time with Claire and Allan. We went to nearby Rohr Park, where Papa and Colette used to walk. There was a new playground, which the kids loved.

Ocean Love

When Silas first saw the beautiful expanse of Moonlight Beach he complained, "Mommy, I didn't want the sand to be white." He was used to the ground-up-building-material-dust in our nyc sandboxes..... Sagey immediately squatted in a patch of sand in the parking lot and started to dig. I convinced them to walk to the beach. They played in the sand for a long time before I pointed out that there was an ocean too....they finally looked up from their sand play and ran toward the water. They were both thrilled, but Sagey was completely delighted. She ran right in despite the freezing temperature and huge waves....

After waking up at 3am Pacific time, Silas and Sage were happy to go play in the yard after the sun finally rose....

California Journey

For Spring Break '07, Silas and Sagey accepted a gracious invitation to visit good friends Ali and Ilon in beautiful Cardiff-by-the-Sea. Silas, Sagey, Jazzy, Big Hadee and I flew from Newark to San Diego together, fully loaded with books, toys, games and snacks to keep us busy....
