Trumpette "audition"

Sagey had an "audition" today, her first.  It isn't quite a recital, it's very informal, but the purpose was to prepare a specific piece for a specific date, and also to practice playing in front of others.  She was a little nervous, and very, very proud.  She did that thing she does where she looks like she is going to cry, but really she is elated.  It was a very big deal for her.  A 12 year old (or so) boy came up to me afterwards to tell me that she'd played very well.  Her teacher was also very pleased.  Sagey has been practicing every day, on her own accord for the past two weeks preparing for the audition.
