Danse sur la glace 2

A gulp of water

Silas de-skates

Wishing Mommy would put the camera down and take off her skates.

Taking all their warm stuff off. It was sunny and low 70s outside the rink, which made it hard to dress for.

And she's up!
Almost there....

So here is the series that Sagey requested...highlighting her superb ability to get up from the ice.

Silas is on the ice!

Our second skating lesson was once again, a huge success. After watching them fall and get up and fall and get up and look clueless (Sagey), I thought, "oh no, now we've paid and they are going to hate it, it looks awful", they both emerged flushed and thrilled with themselves and skating!
Looks like I will spend my Wednesday afternoons freezing at the rink, tying and untying laces with a blade wedged against my leg. Luckily, at the French rink, they have a bar you can hang out in while you watch your kids skate.

I like how well padded the kids are for their falls. They look like they are enjoying the skating.
