Mimi's package and decorating the tree

Silas proclaims he is "starving" and is thrilled with the Chinese feast I made....eggplant with garlic, ginger and tomato, roasted tofu, spinach and garlic, courgette with onion, brown rice. He likes to mix everything together before enthusiastically chowing down. He told me he was too hungry to tell me about school during dinner and would tell me after.

Our modest but thoughtful collection of xmas cards (and one birthday....thank you, Sandy!)

Silas pauses his work to notice the free xmas music I uploaded from itunes. We agree it's "very nice of them"

Faithfully dressing and undressing them.

Sagey, now under the table, remains focused on the stuffed snow-people

Silas took charge and pretty much trimmed the entire tree as Sagey was distracted by her stuffie snow people.

action-shot

Good thing there were some other stuffies in the package to distract Sagey from loving Snoopy to death.
Comparing notes

Mimi's package included the most wonderfully American Christmas apparatus, the singing Hallmark thing-y, which we have managed to get every year. though not in our wildest dreams did we think we could possibly have this year's....and it's Snoopy to boot! Usually it's just some random bear or snowman or something. We can't believe our luck.

Here's the "before" shot of the tree

Excited to check out the package

Here are the contents, though the kids don't know it yet...
